Jaipur, Aug 13: Rajasthan is likely to witness continued rainfall over the next few days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warning of heavy rain in several parts of the state.
The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places in Rajasthan on August 13, while East Rajasthan is expected to receive heavy rainfall on August 14 as well. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of around 30–40 kmph are also likely in parts of the state.
The weather system is expected to keep monsoon activity active across Rajasthan, with several areas likely to experience further showers. The forecast comes after heavy rainfall was reported in parts of the state in recent days.
The IMD has advised people to remain alert during thunderstorms and lightning and to take necessary precautions in areas that are vulnerable to waterlogging and other rain-related disruptions.
Authorities are also expected to closely monitor the situation, particularly in areas receiving heavy rainfall, to ensure the safety of residents and minimise disruption to normal life.
With monsoon activity continuing, residents across Rajasthan have been advised to follow local weather advisories and exercise caution during periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
